TelkomGroup - Digiland Run 2025

Jakarta, May 22, 2025 – TelkomGroup reaffirms its commitment to sustainability through the organization of Digiland Run 2025, an international-level running event that not only focuses on participant experience but also takes into account its environmental impact.

In collaboration with Jejakin to measure emissions, Digiland Run 2025 recorded a total carbon emission of 144,043.62 kgCO₂e. This figure was derived from four main sources: venue and accommodation usage, food and beverage consumption, transportation, and waste. This data serves as the foundation for planning concrete and measurable compensation steps, in line with TelkomGroup's vision to create positively impactful events.

To balance the emission impact, approximately 15,969 mangrove trees with a three-year lifespan are required. Throughout 2025, TelkomGroup has demonstrated its commitment to sustainability through various environmental initiatives, including:

"This number far exceeds the emission neutralization requirement from Digiland 2025, proving that Telkom is not just avoiding environmental harm—but actively contributing to ecosystem recovery. Furthermore, Digiland Run 2025 also demonstrates sustainability from a social aspect. Last year, Digiland Run promoted tree planting through participant involvement: every 5 km run was equivalent to 1 tree planted. This year, TelkomGroup introduces a new initiative with the same spirit—every 1 km run will be converted into 1 GB of internet quota to support educational access in 3T (Frontier, Outermost, and Disadvantaged) regions," said Gunawan Wasisto, VP Sustainability at Telkom.

"At Jejakin, we support TelkomGroup in calculating the carbon footprint of Digiland Run 2025, in accordance with Green Meetings principles. With the data we provide, TelkomGroup can design more accurate and measurable compensation measures, further strengthening their commitment to sustainability," said Arfan Arlanda, Founder & CEO of Jejakin.

With the support of technology, education, and real action for the Earth, TelkomGroup proves that digital transformation can go hand in hand with sustainability efforts. Digiland Run 2025 is not only about technological innovation, but also about how we care for the Earth and build a better future together.
