Coastal abrasion in Batulicin is taking a growing toll on local communities, eroding shorelines and cutting into the productivity of fish and shrimp ponds battered by waves. We're opening this partnership to local organizations to restore the coastal mangrove greenbelt and rehabilitate pond areas back to their natural habitat. By replanting mangroves, we aim to build a natural buffer that softens wave impact, slows abrasion, and keeps coastal communities' living spaces safe.
As development continues across Batam's islands and maritime areas, its mangrove ecosystems play a vital role as a natural coastal shield and wildlife habitat. We're inviting active organizations in Batam to rehabilitate mangroves at coastal sites that need intervention. Jejakin invites organizations, institutions, and expert teams in the social-environmental and infrastructure development fields to jointly deliver clean water access in Bojong Timur Village, Purwakarta. Through this project, we will channel clean spring water directly to residents' homes to support at least 650 households long affected by water scarcity, reduce stunting rates, and protect environmental health. We are seeking partners who can safely build the water distribution facilities, and who are ready to train and form a local community committee so the facilities can be maintained independently for lasting benefit.
