PLN and Jejakin Launch Electree: Plant Trees Through Transactions in PLN Mobile

In commemoration of Earth Day 2025, PT PLN (Persero), through the PLN Mobile application, has officially launched the Electree program in collaboration with climate technology company Jejakin. This program enables every electricity transaction made in PLN Mobile to become a tangible contribution to environmental conservation efforts in Indonesia.

Through Electree, users can contribute as little as Rp1,000 when making electricity transactions, which will be used to plant endemic or fruit trees across various conservation areas to help restore ecosystems in Indonesia. These trees will be planted and managed by Jejakin, in collaboration with local communities using nature-based solutions and technologies.

Not only that, but with every contribution, users can directly monitor the progress of the trees planted. After planting, users can check details such as the location and species of their trees, as well as the environmental impact of their contributions—including potential carbon absorption and biodiversity benefits. All of this data is integrated with Jejakin’s monitoring technology, ensuring a transparent and measurable planting process.

As part of this collaboration, PLN Mobile also introduces a carbon calculator feature within the app. Through a banner on the main page, users can easily calculate the estimated carbon footprint of their daily activities and directly contribute to available green programs.

The name “Electree” is derived from the words “electricity” and “tree,” representing a new spirit of connecting energy consumption with environmental preservation. It reflects a vision to make every electricity transaction a small step toward a more sustainable planet.
