UI/UX Designer

Jejakin is looking for a UI/UX Designer (Contract) to help craft intuitive, modern, and scalable digital experiences across our climate-tech products. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Sustainability teams to turn complex climate data and workflows into interfaces that feel simple, clear, and delightful to use.

This role is ideal for someone who’s strong in both UX thinking and UI execution, and can move smoothly from research and flows to high-fidelity design and handoff.

• 2+ years experience in UI/UX design (product, agency, or in-house).
• Strong portfolio showcasing UX process + polished UI craft (not just final screens).
• Proficient with Figma and familiar with collaboration workflows (components, auto-layout, variables, design systems).
• Solid understanding of UX fundamentals: usability, accessibility, user-centered design, and interaction patterns.
• Comfortable communicating design rationale and presenting work to stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and iterative delivery.

Nice to Have (Bonus Points)

• Experience designing dashboards, data-heavy interfaces, or enterprise tools.
• Familiarity with handoff workflows with engineers (design tokens, responsiveness, constraints).
• Basic understanding of analytics and experimentation (funnels, drop-offs, A/B test mindset).
• Experience with tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Notion, or project trackers (Jira/Trello).

• Translate product goals and user needs into user flows, information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Design high-fidelity UI for web and mobile experiences using Figma, ensuring clarity, consistency, and strong visual hierarchy.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define requirements, map edge cases, and ensure feasibility.
• Create and maintain design systems / UI components to support scale and consistency.
• Conduct usability testing (lightweight or structured), synthesize insights, and iterate designs based on feedback.
• Prepare developer-ready handoff: specs, assets, interaction notes, and responsive behaviors.
• Contribute to improving design workflow: documentation, templates, and smarter collaboration rituals.
